  • This module allows you to set up and control multiple scanning or import batch setup.
  • Each setup can be one of the following two types:

Fixed Form

  • Any documents with a fixed layout where index fields are located at the same place on the document—e.g.,. Application Form

  • Any documents where index fields are located at a fixed location—e.g., invoices or letters

Scan

  • Works with all major scanner and MFP devices with TWAIN support. Also allows importing documents from folder locations.
  • Allows switching from B/W to color or grayscale or vice versa.

  • There are two types of scanning allowed using this module

  • One Touch Scanning:

    This process allows the user to perform all the following activities at the scanning level:

  • Batch Scanning:

    This process allows the user to scan previously batched documents which are scanned and separated at the scanning stage, then follow the classification, extraction, and index processes in later modules.

Classify

  • This module is an unattended module that does not require any operator to work on it, but it works based on Admin Setup Configuration.
  • Module can be run as:

  • Modules perform auto classification on document identifying their document type in mix scanned batch.
  • Classification provide confidence as result which can be used / configured to decide if document is auto classified confidentially or require manual confirmation by operator using Review Module.
  • Module uses AI / ML to classify document and training can be provided for improved classification result.

Review

Review

  • The module allows the user to perform a quality check on scanned images and allows for performing manual classification for documents.
  • User can perform the following operation:
    • Classification of the document
    • Create Document
    • Delete Document(s) / Page(s)
    • Merge Multiple Documents
    • Split Document
    • Reject Document(s) / Page(s)
    • Adding notes to documents
  • Functionality is available using drag and drop where possible for a better user experience.
OCR

OCR/Extraction

  • This module is an unattended module that does not require any operator to work on it, but it works based on Admin Setup Configuration.
  • Module can be run as:
    • Schedule Console Application
    • Manual Run Application
    • Window Service
    • Azure Service
    • AWS Service

  • Module will perform OCR on document using the following OCR technology, but more can be used on request:
    • Tesseract OCR
    • Azure OCR
    • AWS OCR
  • Module also extracts all field details based on configuration from Admin Setup.
  • Field result will have extraction confidence which is used to decide if fields have confidently extracted values or require manual check in the Index Module.

Index

Index

  • Module allows user to perform manual indexing of document fields of all documents of the scanned batch.
  • Each index field's value is checked for formatting and validation rules.
  • Various index field types include:
    • Text
    • Number
    • Date
    • Lookup List
  • The user can manually type the field value or use the mouse to draw a zone (area on the image) that OCR extracts and populates into the field box.
Verify

Verify

  • Module allows user to perform manual indexing verification of document fields of all documents of the scanned batch.
  • Each index field's value is checked for formatting and validation rules.
  • Various index field types include:
    • Text
    • Number
    • Date
    • Lookup List
    • Certify Value with index module field value
  • The user can manually type the field value or use the mouse to draw a zone (area on the image) that OCR extracts and populates into the field box.
  • Verified index field value gets checked against the index value, and the user receives a notification if it does not match.
PDF+

PDF+

  • This module is an unattended module that does not require any operator to work on it, but it works based on Admin Setup Configuration.
  • Module can be run as:
    • Schedule Console Application

  • Module converters document images into PDF document or searchable PDF document.
  • To create a searchable PDF, OCR is required on the document. The following OCR engines can be used:
    • OCR

  • This module deleted images and metadata from DocView system based on configuration for each batch setup in Admin Module
  • This allows user to keep images and metadata in the DocView system for longer and auto deleted once retention period elapsed for each scanned batch

Manage

  • This is a user module that allows a user or supervisor to manage batches in the flow while they are being processed in DocView Capture.
  • Users can perform or load batch processing directly from the Manage module, which allows them to track the full flow of the individual batch.
  • This module is also useful for supervisors or managers who can monitor all batches being processed in all modules.
